This course covers a good range of subjects, from the physiological side to the psychological and socio-cultural sides of sport.
Who is this course for? This short course will give a brief introduction to disability issues and how Care and Education professionals work with disabled people. What will I learn on this course? If you are working, or interested in working with people with disabilities, this introductory course aims to develop your skills, knowledge and expertise relevant to roles in care and education. How will I learn? You will learn through a variety of methods including sharing and discussing experiences. Your work will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks set by your tutor such as designing charts or leaﬂets, coursework or methods such as oral questioning. What qualifications will I gain? Introduction to Disability Studies Certificate What could this course lead to? Level 1 and level 2 vocational qualifications in Care and Education. Can I join anytime? Courses start at various times throughout the year.
Learners should have good reading and writing skills at level 1.
