The course has been developed to focus on any individual wishing to pursue employment with the Health & Social Care sector or who wish to access Higher Education (HE). You need to be prepared to study independently and challenge yourself to achieve high standards of success. This is an advanced level course and achievement at Distinction attracts 180 credits (equivalent to 3 GCSE A Levels)
The essential entry requirements for this course are: A minimum of five GCSEs at grades A star to C. These must include English Language, Maths and ideally Science.* BTEC First Diploma in a related subject at Distinction level and GCSEs (or level 2 equivalent*) at grades C or above in English and Maths.* An interview which involves a presentation by staff, a 1:1 interview with members of the Health & Social Care team. Two appropriate references, a CRB check and appropriate work experience
